In short there is an enormous amount of data there and alot of some of the most esoterica of maths which can actually be useful for any number of elements of a gameworld and mechanics. I could grab population data and posit a per capita advantage or disadvantage per country. Trending deltas could be grabbed from each countries GDP year over year and graphed into a curve so that handicaps are initiated at start and gameplay driven by rising or declining curves and what is needed by each entity to continue. I could take it further and grab each countries GDP data and pit them in a strategic trade war based on a preponderance of natural resources. I could create an eLearning game whee one has to guess the matching flags, countries and capital cities. I could build a network of dungeons procedurally generated from a person FaceBook node connection graph. I was thinking.what would a game be like where the coordinates and gravity, reflection of collisions and similar was based on polar coordinates. Furthermore i could dial in realistic torque curves based on even more esoteric maths. I could easily plug those equations which are on Wolfram (should have thought of that earlier!!) in to get the behaviour i wanted instead of trying to slog through university texts and translate those math jargonifgied symbols into some form of code. I was seeking ways to stabilize a gyroscopic driven vehicle, which PhysX does not cover centripetal, gyroscopic or centrifugal forces.
